Every Saturday at 6 PM the folks at Bakersfield Improvisational Theatre present their long-running show, Major League Improv. Join us every week for a fun-filled, family friendly evening of fully improvised entertainment. THE KILLING GHOST!
The Killing Ghost is an original play by James Kopp. He wrote it some years back and let it sit on the shelf for, well, for some years. Enter Matt Christensen.
He knew this was something that needed to be seen! It was perfect! It should go up as it is, right now, for the world to see! No one should touch this masterpiece! It is just how it needs to be to make the world stand up and cheer in unison that this is the best play t...hey've never seen!!!
So, after some revisions and adding some of his own material, Matt decided to bring it forth, to let it be known that The Killing Ghost is ready to murder this local Bakersfield audience!
It’s The Killing Ghost, the murder mystery/comedy that knows too much!
The Killing Ghost stars Thor Reese as PI Greg Dorman, Matt Christensen as Allan Cook, Norm Colwell as Mrs. Pierce (yes, that's not a typo) and Jennie Babcock as Martha Wellsley.
The Killing Ghost also stars Paul Salie, Billie Joe Fox, Lindsey Smith, Tim Fromm, Matt Borton, Steve Garza, Kayleigh Peaker, Maurice Pittman, Josh Evans, Joy Wheat, Lindsay Haney, Graham Wheat and James Kopp as Officer O'Malley.
The Killing Ghost was written by James Kopp, with revision and some new material by Matt Christensen. It is directed by Matt Christensen.
Showtimes are August 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th, and September 3rd and 4th all starting at 8:00 PM.

Tonicism Productions and The Empty Space Theatre Present A Day in the Park - a cast written variety show written by and starring Faith Hall, Griffin Hall, Isabel Mejias, Nick Lee, Ana Rios, Dorien Roberts, Skye Trevino, Elizabeth Vaughan and Jacquelynne Vaughan. Join the cast as they enjoy a day at Chicago's Lincoln Park! Celebrate a day in the park with songs we all love such as "Saturday in the Park", "Let's Go Fly a Kite", "Bicycle Race" and more along side scenes and skits the students wrote themselves. A Day in the Park reminds us all to get outside and enjoy the simple pleasures of the park! Playing August 21, 22, 28, & 29 at 12 PM.

Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Specially adapted from the beloved film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like "The Bare Necessities," and "I Wan'na Be Like You." With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, The Jungle Book Kids is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for audiences of all ages!
